I like to say I’m a morning person in that I wake up and make coffee. It’s absolutely necessary. At home, I have a five cup coffee pot since I’m the only one who drinks it. I usually get my coffee from whole foods since they have one of my favorite blends, the Allegro Organic Espresso Bel Canto. My absolute favorite thing, though, is stopping in a local coffee shop for an almond milk latte (iced or hot depending on the temperature outside). Starbucks does not have almond milk and needs to get with the times.
Some of my favorite coffee shops in Charleston are: The Collective and Kudu. The Collective is actually in Mount Pleasant but they recently opened a second location downtown and it’s amazing. They craft their latte a tad different from The Collective in Mount P and it is OH SO CREAMY and PERFECT!
