I can’t believe how quickly three months goes by. I have officially failed in consistently keeping up my Blog. While I have no “good excuse,” for failing to keep you up-to-date on my life’s happenings, I can say that the last three months have been a complete whirlwind. While not much has changed, I am still working at the speedway and dating Mr. Wonderful, I feel like the change I am seeking has yet to come along.
I have been at my current job for less than six months. I have struggled each and every day that I show up for work to find something to do rather than twiddling my thumbs and hearing my grizzly bear boss hoot and holler and talk to people in the office like they are dogs. I am currently searching for change in work and find myself contemplating whether or not I took the right career path. I know that uncertainty has a way of making people question things in life, but I have a complete fear of not having career satisfaction. At least while it remains difficult to find jobs. I feel as though I have something to offer and I haven’t yet been given an opportunity to do so. I am continuing to search for new opportunities while I continue to hold on to the hope and optimism that the right job for me just hasn’t came along yet.
My relationship with E has continued to progress into a beautiful communication between two people. I feel like one of the luckiest girls in the world for being able to have someone to communicate and share my life with. E has made my senses come alive and has taught me to see more, smell more, and enjoy more of what simple, great things life has to offer. At the beginning of the month (May), I was fortunate enough to go home (Charleston) with Mr. Wonderful and experience my favorite place on earth through the eyes of a “native.” I have never had a more wonderful experience. E’s family was absolutely amazing. I had the best food, drink, and experiences. I got to visit a couple GREAT girlfriends, enjoy the beach, go kayaking, and nap in a hammock while enjoying the intoxicating aroma of magnolia and honeysuckle. I cannot wait to spend more time there during the 4th of July holiday (which just so happens to be my favorite holiday)!
As for other news, I am getting ready for Bonnaroo in two weeks and a move to Murfreesboro in a few more. I don’t know how well I will adjust to camping outside for 4 days with thousands of other people, but I do know that I am MORE THAN READY to experience great music! My move to Murfreesboro, on the other hand, will be a little more stressful. I am currently looking for furniture if you or anyone you know is selling anything at a reasonable price. I would like to mix and match things together for a comfortable, homey feel. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
On a final note, I love Publix. My favorite thing about Publix is that when you go around 6:00 in the evening, there is always a lady there doing samples. Not only do they give you samples, they give you recipe cards and have a shelf stocked with everything you need for the dish. My favorite recipe, as of late, is the Watercress Palm Heart Salad. If you are interested in trying it, which I recommend that you do, log on to the Publix website and check it out. If you can’t find it, email me at CambronAJewell@gmail.com and I would be more than happy to give it to you!
As for now, may your Memorial day weekend be filled with MAGNOLIAS, BOURBON, and ENDLESS JOY!
